West End Green Property has won planning consent at the third attempt for a residential scheme next to Paddington Basin, W2.
The plans include a main block and a 22-storey tower, cut back from 28 storeys in previous applications. There will be 307 units, of which 107 are affordable, as well as 156 serviced apartments, a supermarket and two shops. West End Green is owned by a group of Middle Eastern and Greek Cypriot investors.
The developer is also appealing an earlier council decision to refuse a 26-storey tower on one site. Sainsbury’s, which has an option to buy a building on the corner of the site has also submitted an application.
