Planners have approved the development of 179 homes in Dodworth, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
The £41.9m scheme, called Smithy Wood Gate, will be brought forward by Avant Homes and will comprise one-, two-three- and four-bedroom homes. The development will include 40 affordable homes.
Work at Smithy Wood Gate is expected to start on site in August, with the first residents expected to move in in March 2025.
Richard Hosie, managing director for West Yorkshire at Avant Homes, said: “We now look forward to starting work on the new and thriving community that we are building in Dodworth, providing practically designed, energy-efficient homes at various price points.
“The development has mix of properties that will appeal to everyone from first time buyers, to second steppers, families and downsizers.”
