Quest Property, the development arm of the Brook Group, has won consent for the 120,000 sq ft office element of its Gateway Plaza scheme in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Last month, Quest got the go-ahead for the scheme’s residential element, which comprises 168 flats, about 20,000 sq ft of retail and café space at ground level, as well as more than 500 parking spaces.
Quest claims that the Gateway Plaza will be “the first development of its kind” in Barnsley and future plans for the scheme include a hotel and leisure facilities.
The 2.2-acre town centre scheme also benefits from Objective 1 ERDF Funding.
Letting agents for the development will be Chesterton and Lambert Smith Hampton and Andrew Corbett of Barnsley based Smith’s Chartered Surveyors. Architect for the scheme is Sheffield-based Axis.
