Espalier has been granted planning permission for the first phase of a £50m holiday village regeneration project in Cornwall.
Cornwall council granted permission for the Millendreath Project, which includes 50 luxury holiday homes on a private beach in Looe Bay aimed at high-net-worth individuals.
Part of the first phase of development includes the creation of a sea defence wall to prevent further erosion of the cliffs that flank the western end of the beach.
Espalier director Rick Gibbs said: “We are still very much in the preparation stage of the regeneration of the holiday village, removing derelict buildings and making improvements to the existing landscape, but this permission means we are now a big step closer to fulfilling our vision to restore the valley as a thriving resort.”
