M&G Real Estate and Sterling Property Ventures have won planning consent for a major 240,000 sq ft office block in Birmingham city centre.
Birmingham council planners unanimously approved the Lumina scheme today.
The building will sit on the 0.4-acre Snow Hill Queensway development site, formerly known as The Strip. The site forms part of Birmingham council’s city centre enterprise zone.
The Aedas Architects-designed 15-storey office block will offer typical floorplates of 11,500 sq ft.
John Fyfield, director at M&G, said: “We now have the ability to deliver superb office accommodation into an occupational market that has seen a limited supply of grade A new office space over recent years.”
Work will start on site imminently.
M&G and Sterling were advised during the planning process by GW Planning.
