Liverpool City Council has given the go-ahead for almost 400 homes across two schemes in the city centre.
Carpenter Investments will deliver 297 flats at 1 Kings Dock Street. The plans also include 12,766 sq ft of commercial space.
Separately, Equans Regeneration has been given permission for 90 flats on a one-acre site which formerly served as Grafton Rooms, a purpose-built dance hall that opened in 1924. The developer will retain a large reception space at the ground floor and well as the façade.
Historic England supported the planning committee’s decision. The scheme was designed by Studio RBA, with Savills advising Equans on planning matters.
