The King’s Cross partnership has received reserved matters planning consent for the R7 office development which will sit alongside Central Saint Martins school of art and design at King’s Cross, N1.
The Duggan Morris Architects-designed building includes 150,000 sq ft over 10 floors.
Included in the design is a public space from which visitors can access a three-screen cinema, and shops and restaurants at the ground and mezzanine levels.
Construction will start immediately and work is expected to complete in 2017.
Will Colthorpe of King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership, said: “We listened to what occupiers wanted from their workplace and distilled this into the brief that we set Duggan Morris. R7 will be architecturally elegant and full of character.”
Savills and DTZ are acting for King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership.
