Green light for redevelopment of H&B’s London HQ

The Mayfair Limited Partnership (MLP) has gained full planning consent from Westminster City Council for the redevelopment of Healey & Baker’s West End headquarters.

H&B is planning to vacate 25-27 St George Street, W1, when its lease expires in 2004. It attempted to secure space at Chelsfield’s Paddington Basin office scheme in December, but lost out to Marks & Spencer.

MLP – comprising Portfolio Holdings, Apollo Real Estate Advisors, and John Beckwith’s European Real Estate Opportunity Partners L.P. (the Europa Fund) – has been granted consent for 3,019 sq m of (32,500 sq ft) of office space and five flats.

Strutt & Parker and Weatherall Green & Smith acted for the Mayfair LP.
