Green light given for 300-home Hampshire development

Housebuilders Bryant, Bovis and Barratt have been given the go-ahead for a 300-home scheme in Fareham, Hampshire.

The controversial development at Peters Road, Lock’s Heath, comprises 152 houses and 155 flats on a 20-acre previously undeveloped site.

Of the homes, 40% will be affordable. The scheme also includes 510 parking spaces.

Plans were originally thrown out five years ago by Fareham’s planning council, but it was decided that the land should be developed now due to a growing demand in the area for housing.

The development will be built in two phases.
