Green sells 12 Sears stores for £60m

Philip Green is selling 12 Sears stores to Prudential for £60m.

The shops form part of a 100-outlet portfolio Green acquired when he bought Sears. The remaining units are expected to sell for £140m. Green has also emerged as a bidder for Everton FC.

In a separate deal, Safeway has made £75m from the sale of its Enfield superstore and its Brent Cross site.
