In a vote of confidence for Manchester’s industrial market, Green Properties has been given the go ahead to develop 81,827 sq m (875,000 sq ft) of industrial, warehouse and distribution space at its Electric Park site at Trafford Park.
The first phase of the brownfield scheme is a 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft) single unit which is being developed speculatively. Remediation work has been finished and work will start on site in the next few weeks.
Plans for the 17.4ha (43 acre) site also include infrastructure improvements including an access road from Europa Circle roundabout and a new cycle path alongside the Bridgewater Canal.
Green Properties was unavailable for comment. Insignia Richard Ellis represented Green.
