Silverlane Development’s proposed £50m residential towers development in Salford, Greater Manchester, has been granted planning consent.

The Greengate subsidiary’s Norton Court scheme comprises 300 units in two towers of 34 and 14 storeys, across 274,176 sq ft.

It will also include 5,091 sq ft of commercial space at ground level and a basement car park.

The scheme, which overlooks the River Irwell, has been earmarked for a 0.47-acre surface car park.

It is part of a wider mixed-use regeneration plan led by Salford city council, which aims to see 1,826 homes built in the area over the next 15 years.

Jeffrey Bell Architects designed the towers; Greengate was advised by Indigo Planning.
