Greenland points plans towards City’s tallest resi tower

Chinese residential developer Greenland Group has unveiled plans for Spire London, the tallest residential tower in western Europe.

Construction of the 67-storey skyscraper on Hertsmere Road, E14, overlooking West India Quay next to Canary Wharf, will begin in early 2017 and is scheduled for completion in 2020.

The £800m Spire London-designed tower will rise to 235m (771ft) , with 861 flats, 91 of which will be affordable. It will also include residents’ gardens and a 35th floor spa and bar.
