Grenfell Tower’s contractors have moved closer to winning immunity from prosecution yesterday, as their plea was back “with some regret” by the inquiry’s top lawyer.
Richard Millett QC said that he recommended immunity in the public interest to prevent witnesses from refusing to give evidence.
The contractors, including Harley Facades, are concerned that they could prejudice themselves in the parallel criminal investigation.
