Grimley’s Roger Ahmed moves to Colliers CRE

GVA Grimley national leisure and hotels specialist Roger Ahmed has left the company to join Colliers CRE.

Ahmed, who was based in Grimley’s Birmingham office, will remain in the city, retaining a national role at Colliers.

He said: “A lot of development is going down the mixed-use route and the move to Colliers CRE will allow me to diversify into this sector.”

As associate director, Ahmed will specialise in mixed-use schemes, reporting to Neil Richmond, head of leisure at Colliers CRE and Ian Cornock, who runs the Birmingham office.

Richard Ingham, GVA Grimley’s leisure and mixed-use development partner, said Ahmeds loss is being offset by recent appointments in Manchester, London and Birmingham.

Colliers CRE’s sister company Robert Barry & Co, which specialises in hotels, announced earlier this week that it was to open in Birmingham with three staff.

The two firms, with a combined staff of 26, will share offices in central Birmingham.
