BCSC 2013: Bill Grimsey’s alternative review of the high street, released last week, was a hot topic at BCSC today with plenty of support on show.
Ian Anderson, head of national and retail planning at CBRE, said Grimsey’s report had a lot more evidence underpinning it than the Portas Review, published two years ago.
“What Grimsey picked up on and what Mary Portas didn’t was the need to refocus the high street and use technology as a way to leverage the high street in terms of the same way it is used in shopping centres,” said Anderson.
