Grosvenor appoints sustainability head in net-zero carbon drive

Grosvenor has appointed Andy Haigh to spearhead its net-zero carbon drive across its £5bn UK and Ireland estate.

It said Haigh would lead on getting the company to net zero from its buildings, developments and supply chain.

Haigh joined the company last month, after it announced late last year that it was investing £90m in retrofitting and future-proofing its London estate for environmental reasons.

He has previously held senior sustainability roles at Canary Wharf Contractors and Sir Robert McAlpine.

Haigh said: “Never before has the climate emergency been more apparent, and never before has the demand for action been greater.

“Grosvenor has risen to this challenge by setting a bold commitment to being net zero carbon by 2030 and climate positive by 2050. A commitment which brings their suppliers, tenants and broader community with them on the journey.”
