Grosvenor has bought events venue One Mayfair, W1, for around £18m.
The West End landlord bought the 18,000 sq ft property on North Audley Street from One Events.
It paid the equivalent of around £1,000 per sq ft according to West End sources.
Haydn Cooper, Mayfair director at Grosvenor said: “One Mayfair is situated on Grosvenor’s London estate and we are excited to bring this important building into the Mayfair portfolio. We are looking at the asset in the context of the broader Mayfair estate and will engage with stakeholders before determining how it might be used in the future.”
Formerly known as St Mark’s Church, One Mayfair was deconsecrated in 1974 and designated as a priority on English Heritage’s buildings at risk register in 1988. It was purchasesd and refurbished by One Events in 2009.
