A £300m redevelopment project is planned for Preston.
Grosvenor Estate has formed a partnership with Preston city council to develop retail, commercial, residential and leisure facilities on a 3.2ha (8 acre) area of land owned by the council.
The council has won £100m of European Union money for regeneration projects.
Jane Sanders, Grosvenors marketing director, commented: “We will present a viable plan within a year, and then go through the normal procedures of seeking approval and funding and finding anchor tenants.”
