Grosvenor Paradise scheme rebranded Liverpool One

Grosvenor has decided to rebrand its 1.65m sq ft Paradise Street central Liverpool scheme as Liverpool One.

The developer, which had previously failed to give the £900m scheme an official name, is to reveal the branding at the BCSC conference in Belfast today.

Rod Holmes, Grosvenor’s project director, said: “Liverpool One reflects consumer and retailer demand, and places Grosvenor and its partners at the forefront of urban regeneration.”

The 42-acre Liverpool One scheme, on which work is underway, is claimed to be the largest retail regeneration project in Europe.

It includes 165 retail units, a 14-screen cinema, two hotels, 230,000 sq ft of A3 leisure and 415 flats.

The scheme is due to be completed by the end of 2007 and is anchored by John Lewis and Debenhams.

The rebranding was carried out by the Wolff Olins consultancy, whose previous projects include the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker and Tushingham Moore are letting agents on Liverpool One.
