Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto has taken a new London flagship store at 52 Conduit Street, W1.
Knight Frank, which acted for the property owner, a Hong Kong-based private investor, secured the 10-year lease for the 3,500 sq ft shop, on the corner of Saville Row and Conduit Street. The store is close to those occupied by MCM, Vivienne Westwood, Hauser & Wirth and John Varvatos.
Yohji Yamamoto, which is well-known for its genderless and unisex brand Ground Y, will be paying a rent of £420 Zone A for the space.
Josh Braid, partner and co-head of central London retail at Knight Frank, said: “The letting underlines the resurgence of London’s prime retail streets, with increased competition from global brands looking for space to showcase their designs in the West End.”
