Global Student Accommodation has appointed Jennifer Bitterman as chief financial officer. Based in New York, Bitterman joins both the executive leadership team of GSA and the wider Dot Group, reinforcing the company’s strategic commitment to growing its presence in the US and globally.
Bitterman’s remit will include steering the financial strategy underpinning GSA’s next phase of international growth, with a focus on performance optimisation and long-term value creation across its portfolio.
She most recently served as chief financial officer at Andover Properties. There, she oversaw all financial operations, helping to drive efficiency and institutional growth. Before joining Andover in 2023, she held the chief financial officer role at Cedar Realty Trust and earlier in her career worked in Morgan Stanley’s asset management division.
Nicholas Porter, chief executive of The Dot Group, said: “Jennifer’s appointment represents our group’s commitment to excellence and the overwhelming opportunity for GSA to accelerate growth and build on its institutional relationships globally.
“Her proven track record and experience across public and private real estate markets will bring financial rigour and depth to GSA’s future business plans.”
Bitterman said: “I am honoured to join GSA at such an exciting time in its growth journey. I look forward to working with the talented team as we build an industry-leading finance function that supports the company’s strategic objectives and delivers value for stakeholders.”
