Sandy Gumm is to join the board of LondonMetric following its acquisition of LXi REIT.
Gumm will become a non-executive at the firm.
Gumm has worked alongside Nick Leslau, who also became a non-executive at LondonMetric following the deal, for several decades.
She has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate and finance and was most recently non-executive director at LXi REIT and, prior to that, a non-executive director at Secure Income REIT.
She was chief operating officer of, and a shareholder in, Prestbury Investment Partners, which was the investment adviser to SIR before its merger with LXi.
LondonMetric chair Alistair Elliott said the business would benefit from Gumm’s “significant real estate and finance experience”.
The merger of LondonMetric and LXi completed earlier this month and created a REIT with a market capitalisation of £4bn and a combined portfolio of more than £6bn focused on logistics, healthcare, convenience, entertainment and leisure.
