GVA has raced to the top of the Estates Gazette Bristol Office league table. The agent secured first place, from 10th last year, knocking Alder King off the top spot and finding tenants for more than 210,000 sq ft of space in the year to the end of June.
Its average deal size was more than double the city’s average boosted by the 25,000 sq ft sale at Company House, Tower Hill, to purchaser Verve Properties. But it wasn’t enough to give them the largest deal of the year that went to JLL which signed Veale Wasbrough at Narrow Quay House.
In fact, the two biggest deals of the year were both lettings with 25,5000 sq ft at Hempton Court on Aztec West by Knight Frank to Broadcom helping boost overall take-up figures over the 1m sq ft mark.
Overall, Bristol agents signed for more than 1m sq ft of space in the 12 months to the end of June.
Three regional agents found their way into the league table this year. Burston Cook at number five signed 43 deals in the year, more than any other agent, and retaining its league table position. For fellow local firms though it was a tumble down the ranks with Alder King dropped from the top spot in 2013 to third this year, while Hartnell Taylor Cook saw its amount of space transacted decrease and its position slip from fourth to eighth this year.
Amongst the national agents, Knight Frank, LSH, Colliers International and Savills climbed up the league table while JLL fell four places, and DTZ dropped two places in EG’s rankings.
