GVA is buying niche leisure specialist Humberts Leisure.
The acquisition will boost GVA’s existing hotels and leisure team from six to around 45. The team is currently led by James Williamson and Ian Thompson,
The agent said that the purchase of Humberts Leisure will allow it to widen its field of expertise, which has focused on hotels and pubs, into general leisure, holiday property and caravan parks, golf courses, sports venues, urban leisure, water-based leisure, visitor enterprises and institutional property.
GVA chief executive Rob Bould, said: “At this stage in the economic cycle, this is a first class acquisition of what is undoubtedly one of the country’s leading specialists in its field, which builds on the hard work and determination of our existing team.
“It also illustrates our leading contra-cyclical approach to gaining market share through the acquisition of a robust business ready for further expansion.”
