GVA drops Bilfinger name

gva_new-logoBilfinger GVA has been rebranded as GVA.

The change follows the sale of the UK advisory firm’s parent company to Swedish private equity firm EQT in August.

The parent company, previously the Bilfinger building and facilities business segment prior to its sale to EQT, was rebranded as Apleona last month. GVA is the original name of the business prior to its acquisition by Bilfinger in 2014. The new logo is red and in the same font as the Apleona logo, rather than the historic yellow and blue.

Gerry Hughes, chief executive of GVA, said: “This important announcement marks another positive step in what is the start of a transformational period for this company. Importantly for us, retaining our historic name as the cornerstone of our identity going forward maintains the heritage and significant commercial value associated with GVA.

“It also enables us to grow throughout continental Europe alongside our much valued overseas colleagues and affiliates. We’re confident we can become the undisputed market leader in real estate advisory and management services in the UK and Europe.”
