GVA Grimley to drive Liverpool redevelopment study

GVA Grimley has been appointed to undertake an overview study of the development land needs for Liverpool and the surrounding region.

The agency has been commissioned by local authorities comprising Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, Halton, Sefton, West Lancashire, Wirral and Cheshire West and Chester, as well as 4NW and the Government Office North West.

The study will inform local authority local development framework core strategies, particularly in reference to cross-boundary employment and housing land development issues and linkages.

Richard Laming, planning, development and regeneration director at GVA Grimley, said: “This is a great example of joined up planning for housing and employment land, recognising that supply and demand factors are not confined to local authority boundaries.”
