GVA poaches from JLL for City investment head

GVA has hired Chris Gore from JLL to head its City investment team.

Gore – who is well known as a German funds specialist in London – will join GVA as a senior adviser to help strengthen its cross-border investment platform following the company’s takeover by German giant Billfinger.

He will be tasked with bringing more international investors into London and the UK, working with Bilfinger Real Estate’s recently established cross-border investment team, which spans Melbourne, Toronto, Frankfurt and London.

Gore has more than 20 years’ experience in the City investment market and has worked with clients including Allianz, Credit Suisse Asset Management, KanAm, HIH, Hannover Leasing, SEB, AIK and Pramerica.

GVA chief executive Rob Bould said: “He joins at a hugely exciting time as we look to build on our recent merger and fulfil our ambition to compete at the top table with our largest competitors for the investment markets most prized mandates.

“More specifically I look forward to working with Chris to broaden and strengthen our City investment and City and Docklands agency teams to complement our wider UK and overseas offer.”

Gore added: “I am really excited and delighted at the prospect of this new challenge.‎ GVA and Bilfinger RE’s position reflects my own ambitions to establish and grow a market leading investment capability that competes with the very best in our market.”
