GVA Grimley has been appointed as property adviser for ASDA’s first Wal-Mart supercentre in Scotland. The store is expected to be the largest in Scotland.
An application has been submitted for a 14,400 sq m (155,000 sq ft) development in Livingston, to be located on the site of the existing ASDA store in the Almondvale Centre. A decision is expected at the end of February.
The first 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) is due to open in November alongside the existing store, and the remainder will be open in 2002.
