GVA has been appointed commercial development manager for the redevelopment of Maidenhead town centre.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead owns the four-acre site between St Ives Road and York Road and intends to retain a high degree of control over the development of the area.
Bob Dulson, chairman of Partnership for the Rejuvenation of Maidenhead, said: “In the current economic climate it would have been understandable, though disappointing, if the council had decided to sell the site and, in so doing, lose involvement in its future to a large degree. To adopt this level of control is commendable and the expertise of an independent commercial property consultant will be invaluable in our quest to find the right way forward.”
