GVA has jumped to the top of EG’s latest Birmingham office agents league table.
The firm knocked last year’s winner DTZ off the top spot thanks to its involvement in Birmingham’s largest deal of 2012. The agent moved from fourth place last year after bagging Deutsche Bank as a tenant for all 130,000 sq ft at Five Brindleyplace.
GVA advised on almost 235,000 sq ft taking more than a third of the Birmingham market in the year to 30 March.
Overall, the average deal in Birmingham dropped by 25% with disposals down by a fifth compared with the same period last year.
DTZ took a tumble down the tables to fourth place after a strong 2012 saw it secure the 22,000 sq ft Virgin Media deal at Eagle Court.
