Hadley Property Group and Clarion Housing have agreed a strategic partnership to develop homes in urban centres, with its first site in Redbridge, east London.
The duo will develop 500 homes on the site of a former Homebase at 706-720 High Road, Goodmayes.
The scheme, designed by Stockwool Architects, includes a new public square, retail and community space, landscaped gardens and new routes for pedestrians and cyclists.
Richard Cook, group director of development at Clarion Housing Group said: “Our new partnership with Hadley will help Clarion to continue to scale up our new home development plans across the country.”
Andy Portlock, chief executive at Hadley Property Group, added: “This initial acquisition is a great example of our joint ability to procure significant regeneration opportunities.”
