The Halifax expects house prices to rise by 3% to 5% next year, while the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors sees price rises at the bottom end of that range, 3%. It expects rents to rise 2%.
Meanwhile, the Centre for Economics and Business Research expects a 0.8% fall in prices nationwide.
