Hammerson is weighing up a sale of its £1.9 billion stake in the retail outlet business that owns Bicester Village.
The FTSE 250 shopping centre owner is reviewing options for its 39 per cent interest in Value Retail, which owns nine shopping outlet villages in Europe comprising more than 1,000 stores. The potential sale was first reported by React News, the property news website.
Bicester Village in Oxfordshire is an outlet centre that attracts more than half of all Chinese visitors to the UK with discounted prices for luxury brands such as Gucci and Burberry.
