Hammerson pauses £300m share buyback

Hammerson has said it will pause its £300m share buyback programme ahead of its full-year trading update in February.

The shopping centre landlord also said its performance during the year ending 31 December was “anticipated to be in line with market expectations”.

In July, Hammerson announced it was targeting up to £300m of share buybacks in the 12 months to July 2019.

It said a total of £129m (43%) of the target had been executed as of 31 December.
