The redevelopment of Hammerson’s Centrale shopping centre in Croydon has been approved by planners.
The Leslie Jones Architecture-designed scheme will see 142,000 sq ft of the internal retail space reconfigured.
US cinema brand National Amusements has signed a prelet for the extension to operate an 11-screen cinema.
Work on the £50m extension is expected to start in early 2013 and open in autumn 2014.
