Hammerson has submitted proposals for a £200m expansion of its Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen.
The new plans add retail and leisure space, including a hotel, to the 555,000 sq ft centre, which opened in 2009.
They also propose more parking and a reconfiguration of the existing retail space.
The plans fit in with a recent city centre masterplan drawn up by Aberdeen city council.
Last year the company published proposals for another 289,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant space, an extension to the on-site cinema and up to two new hotels. In addition, the 2014 proposals suggested an element of office and residential on the site.
The planning application will lead to a series of public exhibitions and consultations highlighting the proposals, with a planning application expected to be submitted to the council towards the end of the year.
Details of the exhibitions will be publicised later in the summer.
