Hammerson to lodge revised plans for Leeds’ Eastgate Quarters

 


Hammerson confirmed today that it will submit a revised planning application for Eastgate Quarters in Leeds before the end of 2010.



The grop said it outline planning consent had been renewed for Eastgate Quarters and a public exhibition on revised plans is expected in the autumn.



Over the past six months, Hammerson has secured three new retail lettings and two office lettings totalling 30,000 sq ft. John Lewis and Marks & Spencer, which have both signed lease agreements, will anchor the 1m sq ft scheme.



Eastgate Quarters was put on hold in February 2009.



Andrew Hilston, project director at Hammerson, said: “A regeneration project of this scale has the potential to truly transform this part of the city.
