Hampton Trust has secured Crosby Homes to build the residential element at the proposed £26m redevelopment of Royal Standard Place near Nottingham Castle.
Crosby, part of the Berkeley Group, is buying the listed Memorial House and another building on the site where it will develop apartments and detached houses. A planning application is expected shortly.
The residential element will comprise about one-fifth of the total scheme, where Hampton has already secured outline planning consent for 18,590 sq m (200,000 sq ft) of offices and retail. Eversheds recently moved its regional headquarters into a new 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) office block on the site and a pub, operated by Mansfield Brewery has also opened.
British Telecom has included Royal Standard Place on its shortlist for 6,038 sq m (65,000 sq ft) offices in Nottingham.
