Hampton Trust is to submit today an outline planning application for Arena Central, its £300m leisure scheme in central Birmingham.
The investment group is also looking for a partner to fund and develop the 92,900 sq m (1m sq ft) plus complex on the 3.23ha (8 acre) site which fronts Broad Street and overlooks Centenary Square.
As revealed by EGi in February, Hampton Trust has drawn up the scheme in consultation with joint landowners Carlton Communications and the city council.
The proposals incorporate the landmark office block Alpha Tower, a new Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza Hotel, new offices and residential accommodation, interactive themed rides, a film theatre, a television/media experience, a sports and conditioning centre, and a casino.
They also incorporate City Tower, a 200 metre tall building which will house the hotel and office and residential units.
Richard Ellis is acting as letting, development and funding agent on Arena Central.
