Swedish bank Handelsbanken has signed a deal to more than double its office space at Manchester Airport.
The bank, which is based in 6,700 sq ft at Manchester Airport Group’s 4M building, has agreed to expand into 14,000 sq ft.
Rents at the building are around £22 per sq ft
Handelsbanken, which has more than 11,000 employees worldwide, has three head offices in the UK, in Manchester, Birmingham and London. It has occupied the 4M building since 2008.
The bank recently identified the UK has is fastest growing market.
MAG property director Stephanie Mullenger said: “Handelsbanken is a high calibre international company, and we are delighted to accommodate its expansion. The deal also demonstrates our aims with our Airport City proposition.”
CBRE and WHR are the retained agents for 4M.
