Hanover International is close to buying six regional hotels from Andrew Weir for about £35m.
They include the Cardiff Bay in Wales, the Glen Eagle in Hertfordshire and the Pine Lodge in Bromsgrove, Hereford and Worcestershire.
The acquisition would double Hanover’s size.
