Hanover Green Retail hires former Apple real estate boss

Hanover Green Retail has appointed former Apple senior director Chris Braithwaite as a non-executive director.

At Apple, Braithwaite was senior director for retail and design and was responsible for leading the tech giant’s global retail real estate, design and development team. He oversaw the expansion of flagship stores across the world between 2009 and 2022.

Before that, he was head of Central London retail and equity partner at Cushman & Wakefield.

Matt Hyland, principal at Hanover Green Retail, said: “Chris is a phenomenal operator with over 30 years of experience in the domestic and international retail markets.

“Chris brings a unique understanding of global locations, and the expectations of the very finest retailers alongside his general market experience. He provides Hanover Green Retail with a true point of difference for the benefit of our existing and future clients.”

Braithwaite said: “I have known and worked with some of the team at Hanover Green Retail in my previous roles, and have seen the growth of the firm over the past five years. They have built a fantastic business with an enviable client base and great instructions across London.”
