Hanson Capital to submit Worthing station plans

Leicestershire-based private developer Hanson Capital Management is on the verge of submitting a planning application for its recently acquired Teville Gate site in Worthing, East Sussex.

The former shopping centre is to be redeveloped as a 15-storey residential block, comprising 250 flats above 210,000 sq ft of shops and leisure space.

Hanson has also recently purchased the adjoining Burfree House Steeles car showroom site.

The combined scheme, adjacent to Worthing’s railway station at the junction of Broadwater Road and Teville, will incorporate a multiplex cinema, health club, pool complex, bowling alley and bingo hall as well as shops, restaurants, cafés and bars.

Hartnell Taylor Cook and Intrinsic are the joint letting agents. The architects are Russ Drage Architects in conjunction with Brian Rickard.
