Hanson Land has agreed an exclusivity deal with Kingspark Developments for a proposed 7,500 sq m (80,000 sq ft) call centre office on a 3.2ha (8 acre) site at Cygnet Park, Hampton, Peterborough.
Hanson Land managing director James Hopkins said it was the first confirmed development proposal for Cygnet Park. He added that Hanson’s agents – Jones Lang Wootton and Dickens Watts and Dade – had received several recent call centre enquiries.
Kingspark recently completed a call centre for BT in Newcastle and is promoting other call centres in Coventry, Rugby, Manchester and Bristol.
Cygnet has 27.17ha (67 acres) of development land and is part of Hampton township, which will have 5,200 homes and workspace for 12,000 people by 2010. Work is expected to begin shortly on the 26,000 sq m (280,000 sq ft) Serpentine Green shopping mall – a development managed by Spen Hill Properties and anchored by a 12,077 sq m (130,000 sq ft) Tesco Extra superstore.
