Hanson Capital Management has submitted plans to transform part of Worthing town centre.
The £150m Worthing Gateway project proposes to build a conference centre, 100-bedroom hotel, nine-screen cinema, supermarket, shops and 260 homes in the Teville Gate area of the West Sussex town.
Subject to consent, construction will begin in 2011, with completion in 2014.
