Olivia Harris is to replace Jonathan Gooding as chief executive of Dolphin Living.
Harris, the developer’s director of finance, will take over on 21 April when Gooding retires.
She has more than 15 years of experience in the property industry, having held financial roles at Delancey and Mapeley, followed by a consultancy role with various companies before joining Dolphin in 2012.
Dolphin Living focuses on developing keyworker rental housing in central London and was born out of the Dolphin Square foundation in 2005.
Gooding took over at Dolphin in 2013, helping to expand its pipeline and market exposure, and explore new models of affordable housing in the capital. His background crossed the housing association, the private rental sector and the retirement spheres.
He has held a number of non-executive roles, and will be join the board of Network Homes, the Wembley-based housing association, chairing its investment committee.
Under Gooding’s tenure Dolphin expanded its pipeline to around 600 units. It has schemes in Kennington, Westminster, Maida Vale and Hammersmith and Fulham. In July 2016 it bought a portfolio of four metropolitan police buildings on which it is working up proposals.
It also bought the New Era Estate in Hackney at the end of 2014, for which it then proposed a rental policy based on household income. More recently it has bought 49 homes on the Butterfield Estate in Walthamstow, E17.
