Luxury department store Harrods has unveiled plans to open a standalone beauty store at intu Lakeside, Essex.
The new concept, called H Beauty, will occupy 23,000 sq ft at the centre. It will stock brands including Chanel, Dior and Huda Beauty, and feature a coffee-to-cocktail bar.
It will launch in spring 2020. Harrods said this would be “closely followed” by a second location in Milton Keynes.
Annalise Fard, director of beauty at Harrods, said: “This investment demonstrates our belief in the strength of our beauty authority and the opportunities within the beauty industry here in the UK, and represents a major extension to our current beauty business.”
