Harvey Nichols announces new openings

Harvey Nichols has announced plans to launch a chain of 10 1,394 sq m (15,000 sq ft) own-label clothing boutiques.

It envisages the first opening in three years but if the right properties are available, the concept could debut sooner. It is looking at provincial towns such as Bath and Chelmsford.

It is also looking at opening several London restaurants and it will open a new £24m department store in Prudential’s West Shambles development in Manchester in 2003.
