Harvey Nichols is to open a restaurant on Leadenhall Street, in the City of London, next year. It has taken a lease on an 743 sq m (8,000 sq ft) property which it will convert into a restaurant and bar.
It already runs a restaurant in the Oxo Tower on the South Bank of the Thames.
The stores group issued a trading statement which said that cumulative sales for the first 16 weeks of the current financial year were up by 2.9%. It was cautiously optimistic growth would continue to be achieved despite a tougher retail environment.
